Job Description
Key Responsibilities	Good Knowledge of various Electrical Equipment, process & systems. Trouble shooting of Turbines and Power systems & equipment. Good knowledge on erection & commissioning of Power systems. Knowledge of process, system & equipment of power plant, and above mentioned experience related electrical drives and procedures is added advantage. Speedtronics Mark IV, DCS System, Oracle, Maximo and other Computer systems. Handling of Turbines and power systems Major Overhauls, Combustion and Hot gas path inspections of turbines. Good Knowledge of various Utility Equipment, process & systems. Trouble shooting of Utility process & equipment. Good knowledge on erection & commissioning of utility systems. Knowledge of process, system & equipment of effluent treatment. DCS System, Oracle, Maximo and other Computer systems. Monitoring tank farm systems.
Duties & Responsibilities:	To plan, implement, coordinate, control and monitor Utility operations in a most cost efficient, reliable & safest way. To efficiently handle water treatment units, Demineralization unit, fire water systems, chemical handling for water treatment, air compressors, air dryers, nitrogen plant, etc., To monitor, control and optimize Utility consumptions, Utility equipments power consumption & chemicals etc. To monitor condition of effluent generated in complex. Trouble shooting ,operation & optimization of aqueous & solid waste. To treat aqueous & solid waste generated in complex as per environment compliance. To understand theoretical working of DM Plant , cooling water ,nitrogen plant & air compressors. For execution & operation of on going projects. To understand & develop P&ID , PFD & engineering drawings for different sections of unit. Data collection , trouble shooting & developing  FAR in department failures. Coordinate / plan daily breakdown, corrective and preventive maintenance activities. Budget planning & cost control. Technical trouble shooting of recurring or major problems. Preparation of shift schedules and leave roasters for staff and ensures the same is adhered to. Planning and coordination of all the day to day operational and maintenance activities Generation of daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports (plan for operational & maintenance activities) Preparation of start-up and shutdown schedules for safe start-up and shutdown. Supervision to ensure that these schedules are followed. Ensure that all the plant operational activities, start-ups and shutdowns are carried out safely as per the Licenser SOPs (Standard operating procedures). Suggest measures for improvements in existing SOPs and accordingly revise them with approval from HOD. Suggest measures or issue guidelines to Shift engineers in Trouble shooting & solving plant operational problems. Generation of FIRs (Failure information reports) for all the process plant shutdown/stoppages. Report of fire/near miss incidents. Follow-up material requisitions/purchase orders raised for raw materials, chemicals and critical spares. Compilation of the report on critical items required for smooth running of plant and follow-up with Material department Engage shift staff & panel operators to effectively impart on the job training to new/ present EPCL staff in various positions. Personally deliver class room and on-the-job training to all staff. Take charge of plant emergency situations and give instructions/guidelines to overcome the plant emergency situations. Deployment of maintenance staff to assist shift staff in taking care of plant emergency & shutdown situations in day to day plant operation. Maintaining report & inventory of hydro carbon storage systems. Training of shift staff in handling emergency situations.
